Stop paying $8+ per student for your reading program.
PageUp is the friendly Accelerated Reader® alternative — quizzes, badges, dashboards, the whole bit — for one flat fee of $1,000 per school per year.
Three steps. A reading habit that sticks.
Kids pick books they actually like.
231k+ titles. From "Dog Man" to "Wonder" to that one book about a sentient pencil.
They take a quick comprehension quiz.
5-10 questions per book. Students earn points toward their reading goals — your school decides what those goals are.
Class & school competitions kick in.
Streaks, badges, grade-level rivalry. Schools layer on whatever motivation works — redemption days, ceremonies, treasure box, your call.
What would your school do with an extra $4,000+?
Per-student pricing is a tax on growth. Move the slider — your line item stops climbing the second you hit PageUp's flat rate.
Built for the people
who actually run the program.
Budget-friendly. Procurement-friendly.
Easier than AR. Every day.
We've got answers.
How is PageUp so much cheaper than Accelerated Reader?+
Lean team, modern tooling, AI-accelerated quiz authoring & QA. We pass the savings on instead of underwriting old enterprise overhead.
Will my students' favorite books be in the library?+
231k+ titles cover the vast majority of K-8 classroom and library reading. Missing a book? Request from your dashboard and we prioritize it that week.
Do you support homeschoolers or personal accounts?+
Not at this time. PageUp partners directly with schools — the FERPA school-official model is core to how we handle student data, so we don't currently offer individual, family, or homeschool accounts. If that changes, we'll announce it on this page.
How does PageUp handle student privacy?+
We partner with schools as a school official under FERPA, aligned with COPPA, with role-based access controls and on-request data deletion.
Can I keep my existing AR points or book lists?+
Yes. We import most AR point lists 1:1 and can match your school's existing point economy so reward programs keep working.
